As published on Travelpulse.com, Tahiti and her islands will be hosting 8 Hollywood screenwriters for 7 days. From September 16-23, the screenwriters will visit Tahiti, Bora Bora, Moorea, Huahine, and Hiva Oa. The goal of the trip, called ““France Unlimited Access 2: Mission Tahiti”, is to raise awareness of French Polynesia to the filmmaking industry.

As someone who loves French Polynesia for its being less well-known and less overrun by tourists than a place like Hawaii, this news is somewhat saddening… but I know tourism is important to French Polynesia’s economy and more exposure will serve the islands and her people well…
